A hardware answer can be done with a ZyXEL....in fact it's the prefered way
o
use the 2864I...it lets the modem do the handshake for Digital/analog calls.
I
feel that there was a fe un answered questions....
ie: is your terminal set to auto answer??
does it work with values under 255...more like 1-5??
did you try it in an other terminal program??
