Alright, I saw something not too long ago when going to Albertson's.
I was looking to get a job and they told me the hiring manager was not there,
so I strolled to the magazine racks and an officer was there. He had the
hand on the butt of the strap. I started getting a little nervous (It was
not that he was an LEO but that he kept the hand on the gun the whole time
and I've known some pretty hairy trigger fingers before). I told it about
how it was making me nervous and he politely (Big plus for the LEOs) told me
how he did that in case someone got him from the back. I sort of understood
that, but I still was a little nervous so he removed the hand. (Two
Humoungous pluses)
I know this is probably a habit of many LEOs, I mean, I could see how
I would fall into it if roles were reversed. However, especially those of us
who livedss criminal lives before and don't anymore, it makes us very uneasy.
Please remember, LACs generally don't carry weapons on them. It would help
you all's PR if you guys would remember that. That's all, respond if you
wish. Please no flames. I didn't mean this as a flame and I don't expect to
be flamed.
Peace.
