Sorry Roy, but I have never seen a small block rod with 5/16 Rod bolts.
Small jurnal rods I've seen all have 11/32 and large 3/8. If anyone has
an old manual you could look up the torgue. 5/16 should be about 25 ft. lbs.
max.  11/32 about 30 and 3/8 35-40.

But there was large journel 327's.
