I shoot my video on a Canon L-1 with the 15X lens. I have been examining the
Steadycam Jr., and its potential to support my camera. What I have found is,
basically, it won't support my camera. However, there is a modification kit
available, but it will mean that I have to go out and buy a 3X lens, to
reduce the wieght of the forward arm. Factor in lens cost, on top of
Steadycam cost, and you're talking major expesne. Now that you've read this
far, my question is, are there any kit plans available that I could use to
build my own steadycam? Or--is there any other steadycam on the market that
will support a Canon L-1?
