Also take a look at Ocotillo (oh co teeeyo), that is another interesting
specimen...they will most likely be blooming now and be bloomed out by
the time you get there in May. Very lovely when they are in bloom
though!
If you get the opportunity to go to Tucson (about 2 hours south of
Phoenix) you'll find the Sonora Desert Museum well worth the time, they
have lots of desert stuff (natchrally) but they also have a great
aviary of hummingbirds! Hundreds of em flitting all about you! It's a
beautiful experience!
