Hi Ben,
About "Re: SBBS & MS-Kermit" of July 27:
MS> Then, as to compensate, Rob Swindel invited me to try `G-Kermit'...
BR> I noticed G-Kermit... The C-Kermit make process aborted using the
BR> Linux+OpenSSL option so I built an un-secure version to play with...
Oh, i thought there were equivalents to executables? I can swear i
had something similar on my Hard-Disk when i evaluated `BasicLinux'. It
may have lacked ~SSL~ support though, that was quite a long time ago!...

BR> I was able to crank Kermit up and make an FTP connection...
Yes, if i'm not mistaking `K95' happens to have ~FTP~ integrated as
well but, since i'm at best a `Win' user - not a `Linux' one yet, euh...
BR> Here's an interesting program I haven't tested yet though it's a
BR> candidate for a QBasic BBS package I've been writing/playing with
BR> under DOS for years. One day...
Really?! then you're quite familiar (or have been) with `Kermit'?!
;^)
BR> Keep the faith...
That's nice of you. It's somewhat reconforting since right now the
`SBBS & MS-Kermit' saga is over... Would you happen to be using `WC-4'?
P->
Euh... but even if you did, it's not garanteed to be ~TelNet~ too.
8'-)
Oh, well... Hummm... But i must wonder, do you think you could be
able to remember enough about `Kermit' to make any sense out of the .INI
configuration file i just created for `SBBS'? (And which was rejected)!
8-o
Just a thought: Rob Swindell questions its value without a try!...
Salutations, :)
