| subject: | MYSTERY SPORTSTER... |
Hi Greg (of 3:800/449), On Mon, 23 Jun 03 at 12:48 o'clock, you wrote me: GM> Don't you just hate it when someone gives a smart-a**ed GM> non-answer to a perfectly legitimate question? Especially when GM> their non-answer is wrong anyway! Hehehehh. I've learned to ignore those. ;) Sometimes the poster forgets an important fact (such as that another PC was not available at the time) and just assumes the obvious. GM> The one that gave me the speed was AT I0. "AT I0" would reveal the ProductCode in the Sportser. Meanwhile I tore apart an old 486 that I wanted to re-install with W95 anyway. Turns out that my mystery sportser was a 14.4. As for your I? commands.. I think some modem manufactures use different I? codes for different functions. For example, the I3 command would definately reveal the ProductCode for the Sportster. I5 would reveal NVRAM settings and I6 reveal Link diagnostics. But these same commands may be meaningless in another brand. ...August --- FMail/Win32 1.60* Origin: . (1:229/390) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 229/390 1000 106/1 2000 633/267 |
