 There are some very good shareware BASIC compilers available
 too.  Look for ASIC (It's almost BASIC).  It is considered by
 some to be superior to Quick Basic.
 Please do not reply in this echo.  There is a very good echo
 for Quick Basic programming.  The fido tag is QUIK_BAS.  Ask
 your Sysop or uplink to areafix it by that tagname.  As far
 as that goes obtain a copy of a file called BACKBONE.NA which
 is updated every week. It is a listing of all the fidonet
 echoes that are alive and well.   There is another, smaller file
 called BACKBONE.NO which lists echoes that are on the brink of
 extinction.
