From: "Gary Britt" The autohotkey macro program I mentioned allows you to compile the macro script into a .exe file. You could then create a window's shortcut that runs the autohotkey compiled macro. This would work across all machines as long as the program/explorer window you wanted to activate and give focus had the same name or nearly the same name on all machines. Both the autohotkey macro program and compiled scripts, etc. are free and freely distributable. No fees, etc. I've never used it yet, but I've downloaded it and looked at the documentation. For a programmer it would be easy to use, I would think. You can get autohotkey at http://www.autohotkey.com/ Another free program I have which is a win32 program that runs on NT/2K/XP (maybe 98/ME but not sure) and runs as a console app, but has the ability to bring any window to the top and give it focus (among several other things) is cmdow and it can be downloaded at http://www.commandline.co.uk/cmdow/index.html Both autohotkey and cmdow are still under current and ongoing development. Either one could be setup to work across a variety of machines.
