I was mostly thinking of older versions of IE such as on W2K and W98.
Opera is probably gaining a small advantage just because hackers are
developing attacks for Firefox and IE.

The latest Opera 8 occasionally ceases to function for me (hangs on
reading site, doesn't even open a network connection. Very hard to
reproduce.) But with Javascript enabled, Opera does repel invasive sites
better than IE or Firefox.
