moving to 3d is the problem..  Capcom's 2d beat-em-ups are THE BEST fighters 
available...  Whilst I do like the 3d ex +  alpha on the PS, I much prefer 
the 2d games on the saturn..  (as the saturn versions are always faster, 
smoother, & less cut down..)
