Howdy Folks,
Gaining ground on Act-Up. At the foot is a sample of the response message if
folks try to use Dist: in their NetMail messages. Working from an EchoMail
area allows working somewhat similar to the way posting messages on an InterNet
provider does since Fido doesn't have a Newsgroup: line.
Act-Up sends a variety of messages including sending a confirmation message
back if any of the Return Receipt flags are set in NetMail messages. The
configuration options put the SYSOP's name and system information in the
boilerplate responses.

We're sorry Fred,
The InterNet Gateway (70:3/3) could not forward your message to the Newsgroups
in the Dist: line.

Subject: Testing Distribution from NetMail
The `Dist:' line is not supported for use in NetMail messages. However, you
may include the word `NetMail' or `E-Mail' in messages posted on an EchoMail
area that is interfaced with a Newsgroup. A Distribution line at the top of a
Newsgroup message should look something like:
Dist: E-Mail, and.any.other, news.groups.wanted
The above would send a copy to the person via E-Mail, to the current Newsgroup,
and to any added Newsgroups. Only specific Newsgroups are usually configured
for this option.
Thank you for taking advantage of bizynet.com.
Regards, Chris Gunn
