Clark:
Back in my radio days, I was very fond of Rare Bird. Someone would
usually call when I had a RB song on and ask who it was. "Beautiful Scarlet"
was a very pretty song, but, at the time, "Hammerhead" was my favorite.
I eventually got all 4 RB albums. I liked the 3rd one best...though I
cannot remember any of the tunes right now. The personnel had
changed...they'd even added a guitarist, so the trademark sound was gone.
Man, I have no idea what became of those records. I haven't thought about
them for years!!!!!!!!!
Another "wish I had that" sentiment gone, eh?
I do have Caravan's "Cunning Stunts" still, which I personally liked
better than "Grey and Pink."
My wife was and is a Tull fan, but she got rid of her records way back
when. I used to get calls for "Thick as a Brick." Nice tune for me to go to
the restroom on, you know?
Thanks for bringing up Rare Bird, though. I guess I'll go scouring the
countryside now to get new copies. heh heh
