subject: E2864.115 software

Has anyone notice this problem with V 1.15 for the Elite 2864?
If a value is placed in the S0 register, the modem is supposed to wait
that number of rings before answering. Some software takes advantage of
this, and places the value 255 in the register.
This means, the modem should answer on the 255th ring...ie pretty well
not at all. Instead, on the first ring, the modem goes off hook.
No other version of software has done this. Any one else notice it or
have any ideas, it would be great to hear from you.
Thanks,
Hank
