The Slashdot discussion of a story on an alleged potential monad virus
pointed out that the claim was absurd.

Apparently, the claim is that you can write a monad script that will (for
example) find other scripts and replace them with itself (if the current
process has write permission).

The same point can be made about any programming language - including an
ancient DOS batch file. It appears that no actual vulnerability is known.
