Well, that's just a case of "why should this g'round be any different?"

I know it. It always seems to be a case of the lesser of two evils, instead
of "gosh they're both so good, I'm torn between my final choice."
That, btw, is how Carter got in, he was from outside the loop - then it
turns out that it may have been better to have chosen one of the evil ones
 so you can't win.
