I don't know that world leaders make a conscious decision to invoke
Satan as their god. It is possible that they sincerely believe that
they are doing the will of the real God, & are simply deceived, as
are so many. But I was struck by a segment shown on Lateline tonight
showing George W Bush spruiking on a podium with a backdrop of US
flags. The close-up shots showed a large star above his left shoulder
that looked much like a pentagram with two points up, apparently
said to represent Satan & Chaos, or adopted by Gerald Gardner in
the late 1940s as a sign of second-degree initiation into neo-pagan
rituals of witchcraft.

It could be coincidence, of course, & just a US flag in the right
position, but given Bush's penchant for props, it may have been
done for the benefit of his "enlightened" followers. I'll see if
I can find a pic from Bush's press-conference to examine it more
closely.

I think so. Blair is disparagingly portrayed as Bush's poodle, but was
the one world leader who acted promptly to respond to September 11 as
a turning point in history - a catalyst for bringing about a new world
order - "The kaleidoscope has been shaken. The pieces are in flux. Soon
they will settle again. Before they do, let us reorder this world around

While the response to September 11, & the invasion of Iraq, & other 
attempts to reorder the world & make it more peaceful & secure seem 
reasonable in the circumstances, it is through peace that the Beast
will destroy many - he won't show up like Johnny Rotten singing "I
am an antichrist, I am an anarchist, I want to destroy ...", he will
entice the world into a false peace that will result in destruction.
