Well, three at least. I'm a ham, too, and also live in a box canyon.
Well, it's called Sleepy Hollow, so I guess you can bet the picture from
that. No matter what antenna I use, I get the same results. HF is sort
of like living in a big dish pointing at the sky.
But at least, I do have the whole car. And a few others, too. I
live on 10 Acres, and the fact that the neighbour snooty broad has to
drive right past my shop and tin stash is all that keeps it down to just
one parts car per real car. But that's still a Van, a '64 Impala Wagon
(hope I never have to trash it!) and a Lincoln. Oh, yeh, and a '76
Merc, which is the parts shed for our stock car pieces ('76 Torino
with 460)
All this socializing is sure nice, but I'm not getting much closer to
finding out what magic parts will bolt into the '64 for some disk brakes.
I was happy to hear about the existence (possible) of trick upper ctl
arms, which may or may not allow bolting in the '76 Malibu Spindles and
appurtenances, but other than that, not much help so far. Anyone?
BTW, my name isn't really Guest User. Please allow me to interseduce
myself. My name is pete snidal, and I'm the sysop of this board. I was
just testing it when I dropped a note into oldcar about the spindles and
forgot I was being guest user. Now I'm trapped until I get on my own
box again. (Currently setting up a customer box.)
Nice meeting y'all. I'm very pleased with the response over my original
query, and hope someone will eventually come by with some specific info.
Surely there's _some_body out there that's done it. Till then, I've had
some helpful hints, though. - Like rip out the proportioning valve before
I send this hulk to crusherland. Thanks, almost forgot. (I _did_ get th
power brake unit.
