Or he did, but he was *delusional* and so he *saw something that wasn't
there*, ie the scars from when he was burned. Let's get one thing straight
-- he said "the doctors told me the burns were superficial." In other
words, he *was* burned, but in his mind his scars were much more serious
than they actually were.
