G'morning David, -> While I'm aware of good evidence that humans don't enjoy the -> freewill they think they have, your `reality' here would remove -> even the charting of new courses by true random chance....which -> itself would necesarily be illusory. DW> I agree. In a sense, it would mean that every event, in the past, DW> present and future, in some sense already "is". DW> If that's the way it is, then that's the way it is. If that's the way it is, then that's an amazing state of play; and some interesting way of testing the notion must exist... It brings back to mind the experience of one of my anthropological lecturers who discovered a small stone that had been somehow placed, with prehuman artifacts, on a ledge in the Oldawai Gorge millions of years earlier. He shared a fancy which had the stone waiting patiently for humans to evolve, explore and finally disturb it. In view of man's increasing concern with `political correctness', is it not astonishing to the viewpoint you put forward that our history still boasts monsters such as the ethnic cleansers ? How on earth do all future humans resist the urge to purge the past, present and future world of such evil anomalies ? :-) ___ MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.45 --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: === Maxie BBS.
