CR> I have parrots, boy! do I have parrots! Roll call! There is Baby the
CR> Goffin's Cockatoo, Jack the Orange-Winged Amazon, The Parakeets Sweetie,
CR> BlueSky (Blue-Blue for short), Rover, Little John, and Demetry, The
Cockati
CR> George, Connie, Lucky, Mr. Spradles, Mic, and finnaly Tony.
Guess I asked a loaded question, didn't I? Sounds almost like us with
our pet rats, although we don't have nearly as many as what we had at one
time. We only had 5 at one time, until one of our males got hold of the only
2 females that we had. Need I say any more? We did make a couple of trips
o
the pet store and now we're down to 8. One of them is dying from old age,
though. But back to the subject at hand.
CR> Your choice of parrot is really up to you. I don't think any one is
better
CR> than another and it depends on the owners personal taste. Mine is "Its a
CR> parrot? I'll take it!" I do have a favorite thoogh, I want a Hyacinth
CR> Macaw.
A Hyacinth Macaw, is that the solid blue one or the red one? If it's the
blue one, I agree with you. It is a beautiful bird. I've also heard that
parrots have a rather long lifespan. I don't know who I'd get to take the
bird after I died. I suppose they do get rather attached to their owners.
CR> Go to the library to seek the knowledge. Learn first so you have as
little
CR> mishaps as possible, (I've been down that street!). I have a few tips:
I will take your advice and check out what the library has. I think the best
thing right now would be for us to wait until our rats have all passed on
before we try to get a bird...:)
