You were referring to the feeding of Pleco's above. Since you seem to have
grown yours quite nicely, perhaps you can help out someone new to things.
I've got a few comets (now about 2-3 inches long) and a pleco that's about 2
inches long. I've tried throwing the occassional algae chip in there, but
the other fish all grab it, and chew it to death, and the pleco never gets to
have any. I've tried dropping it in just before bed, in the hopes the pleco
would find it during the night while the others are sleeping. Obviously
though, one can't tell if he's found it or not. The end question I have is,
for a pleco of this size, how often should I drop an algae chip in? How much
is enough food? Will they overeat and die?? What is the best way to make
sure the other fish leave the darn thing alone so that the pleco can have it?
