BR> POVERTY has yet to buy a pistol and do a drive-by. The primary
BR> assailants in this city are young black men, and their primary
BR> targets are young black men.
RB> And, coincidentally, the lowest class in your city are young
RB> blacks. In fact, the most violent section of any city is
RB> the poorest part. Now, do you need a sledgehammer to put
RB> two and two together?
The connection is the CITY not the poverty. The crime
rate and especially violent crime is much lower in poor
rural areas. You don't hear about many murders in
Appalachia (poor whites) or rural parts of Mississippi
(poor blacks) or Alabama (poor blacks) or in the Ozarks
of Missouri (poor whites).
Sort of makes your two and two add up to five doesn't
it? Crowding causes stress in animals which leads to
violent behavior. This is multiplied by other factors
(boredom, lack of food, etc.) the violence becomes even
greater. Now no matter what you might have been taught
in school, humans are animals.
Remember: Freedom isn't Free!
