I try to look around before I go through a door. If nobody's in front or in back, as far as I can tell, I proceed. If somebody is approaching, I move aside and let them hold the door for me. I use a walker, so this works well unless somebody unexpectedly comes up. When I used a cane, it was a lot more hazardous, as I depended more heavily on the door for stability. ---* Origin: T E X A S !
