Hi, Daryl! Recently you wrote in a message to All:

Hmm....

I lost an aunt the same way. But that was about forty years ago,
and the treatment for all types of cancer has improved since then.... :-)
DS> And, it has devastated him, his family, and friends.
Yes....
DS> He is going to try and fight it
Glad to hear that! My aunt lived for three years after the
"experts" predicted she would be dead within two to six months,
and our daughter Nora has also beaten the odds in various ways. IMHO a
person needn't roll over meekly & die on somebody else's schedule
unless they want to.... :-)
DS> he has had numerous calls and visits from family and
DS> friends.
Yes, I believe support from family & friends can help a lot.
Some of these people may start to drift away after a few weeks, though,
because they're not used to dealing with anything which isn't all better by
then. That was our experience when Nora had leukemia. We'll still be
here... and we won't forget.
DS> Your thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
Absolutely! Recommended reading, BTW... LOVE, MEDICINE &
MIRACLES by Dr. Bernie Siegel. That's where we got the name for the
SURVIVOR echo.... :-)
