Hi Wendy,
RH> have an AA before getting married. Mike would probably get his BA (or
RH> BS) the year she is supposed to get an AA. hey both are willing to
WB> It's good for them to wait. She's so young, let her enjoy single
WB> life for a while longer first. And she will have all sorts of
WB> neat experiences, and that will make for a fuller, richer life for
This all happended so fast! She had several boyfriends last school year
but they seem so superficial now. Just got back last night from San
Antonio for David's (our son in law) graduation from Air Force basic
training; Mike and his mom came too. She commented on how different
Deborah is from his previous girlfriends; this is the real thing for the
kids. They are willig to wait because they know it will be better if
they do.
WB> Hmmmm...I had problems on the way back from a trip to Phoenix. I
WB> felt when we got to the humid weather area again. You wouldn't
WB> think Oklahoma would be humid but this part of it is called "Green
WB> Country" and it is very humid here lots of the time. It's NE OK
WB> and there are a lot of dammed-up rivers for recreation area lakes
I never would have thought that OK would have so much of a water based
recreation; we went thru part of the state on our way out here and it
seemed like TX and AZ. San Antonio was so humid that I felt like
wilting.
WB> Oh, neat! That will be great for everyone, I know. Melanie
WB> Boucher flew out to see her younger son graduate from Marine
WB> Boot Camp and had a great time. They showed her a fine time,
WB> and she had a nice trip out and back, so she was thrilled.
Overall, it was a good trip. I did take some cross stitch but we were
busy most of the day every day. Went down along the Riverwalk and the
Alamo on Saturday. Didn't get to poke my head into the craft shops
either but caught glimpses of mostly Mexican type crafts every once in a
while. David is now in Mississippi; Rachel will be joining him as soon
as she can. Mike and his mom are back in OK; Deborah is planning to go
out Christmastime.
Meanwhile, I thought sure that there would be a call on the answering
machine when we came home saying that my serger is ready for pick up.
There was none; guess I'll have to call and find out what's up. I've got
several projects cut out (mostly shirts) that I want to use the serger
on. I also have some sewing on the regular machine to get done, after I
catch up from the trip.
Catch you later,
Ruth
