Hello Terry,
Well to answer your question; "why are you limiting this
(disscussion) to Canadian forests? Wouldn't a disscussion of all North
American forests be more appropriate."; I have a couple of answers.
The first being that I have only been in Forest Technology for a limited time
and most of my instruction has been concentrated on the Boral forest of
Alberta, since thats where I live and hope to work, and on the Costal forests
in B.C.
The second being that I think we as Canadians have enough on ower plates
right here to talk about, and be more knowlageable about.
The thrid is that other places in North America run there forest management
totaly different than ours and to get into the details of how the Americans
run there privatly owned land as opposed to how we run our crown lands is far
to big to be having intelligent conversations on, at least with my present
knowlege of these subjects.
I did not say that I only wanted to talk about this selected topic however, I
am very interested in expanding my knowlege in my field and if you would like
to talk about other issues please do and I will try to join in and speak my
opinion on what I know.
Thanx for droping me the message and I hope I will hear from you again,
hopefully we can get more to happen here!
