So far nothing much on this one. It saw the old machine with not too much
hacking and the net works fine for moving files. It pops up a heat alert
when I have had the processor pegged at 100% for a time. 50°C which is just
the threshold of a red zone, but no above. I expect the system builder may
need to install another fan.
It seems to be absolutely stable. I did a 24 hour render - heavy duty
ray-tracing - and no falters.

Yes, ray-tracing back in 1986-87. I was doing image processing by 1989,
music since 1985 thanks to the Amiga. More than anything, it opened my eyes
about what was to come.

No not ZIP drives. Rather .zip compressed archives - like .lha on the Amiga.
A single 700k file that unpacks to three files totalling 1990k.
ZIP drives are now ancient technology, though still available and supported.
Very expensive per megabyte compared to CD.
