I'm not sure I'd call the US Title a waste of time, as it gives a 
secondary title for those who aren't going up to the World Title ranks 
anytime in the near future, if at all, something to shoot for.

Having said that, it'd be a LOT better if the current crop of, aHEM, 
writers were able to make the belt important.
