From: "Glenn Meadows"
I typically find ZA to be far to visually intrusive. When using a
firewall, I've grown far more accustomed to Sygate.
I've becoming even more familiar with the InJoy firewall though, nice piece
of software (no free version though). We've moving to the 100 user Pro
version as our corporate firewall product. Lots of nice user system
feedback.
We've used a Qwest managed firewall for the past 3 years, but they charge a
huge sum of money for the "privilege". On top of their data
service, we've been paying way too much. The cost to purchase the 100 user
InJoy, will be amortized over 2.5 months when you figure in the price of
the host computer that it runs on. Plus the drop in the price of the T-1,
and PRI (phones) moving all to XO, will save close to $4,000/month.
The InJoy has it's own VPN client, so running the 2 user on the laptops,
gets the VPN tunnel into the corporate network.
From talking with Bjarne at FX, it turns out that the core firewall engine
has been licensed to many of the major firewall appliance companies to be
used as the internal engine on the hardware boxes. He chose to make it a
full software version.
