| subject: | RE: EleBBS: Anonymous ftp? |
* EleBBS Support List Ok, if you've got a user account with access set up on the ftp server, in the ftp section for the area on the other systems side, they should just need to use your server, directory, a username and password to your area and they should be able to use it. Again, if I understand what you're trying to do, it seems like it should be pretty easy, but I am prone to confusion (and fomenting it as well...). On the anonymous login side, if I set a blank password, can people enter any password to get on? Otherwise it really won't work and will just confuse people since all clients (afaik) use the user's email address as the password. >> -----Original Message----- >> From: zomorf [mailto:zomorf{at}badnews.bbs.us] >> Sent: Friday, July 14, 2006 2:56 PM >> To: elebbs{at}thebbs.org >> Subject: Re: EleBBS: Anonymous ftp? >> >> >> * EleBBS Support List >> >> Hi Marty, >> >> Shurato Hidega wrote: >> > * EleBBS Support List >> > >> > Are there any plans to add anonymous access to the ftp server? >> > >> >> Have you tried adding an account anonymous? and then password=blank >> >> Also regarding the other reply we're trying to setup FTP areas in EleBBS >> that will connection to the EleBBS FTP Server...
