Hi Bob
>
-> Bob's got one of those CP fivegranders to learn, and you have your Duh
-> hunderd, so I can see how you guys are all tied up. Karen just started
-> painting her windows and I'm into making a Halloween costume for the
-> grandson.. All of us busy souls.

I think you are leading them astray as to what I'm doing, but even though
the picture you bring to mind isn't accurate, you are still telling the
truth .

And what has this to do with photography? Well, I took a photo of a
window, complete with things on the window sill and reflections in the
glass, and now I'm trying to paint that picture.

I used to complain when there was something in a photo that I thought
spoiled the picture. Then I got into the digital stuff and learned I could
not only eliminate some stuff (like other photographers in wedding
pictures, and exposed fingers from some smartalec who didn't really want to
be in a picture) but I can also rearrange stuff, like when I straightened
my hubby's tie in a recent picture someone took of us. But hey, sometimes,
even digitally, you cannot get quite the picture you were hoping for. So
now I'm learning to paint them, leaving out the excess crap and perhaps,
eventually, creating the light that would really have made the photo
spectacular, but didn't cooperate at the time I happened by with a camera.
I'll upload the original photo of the window to Chris's site, just so
you'll see what I'm working with....and in keeping with our photographic
nature.

Karen
