I remember in the older floppy days, you had to enter a license number from
the front splash screen to do Disk to Disk transfers, or bring an Image
back to Disk...odd, that the number you needed, was right on the first
screen...good license check...NOT...

At least in 2003, you could make a boot floppy, and add USB drivers, simple
TCPIP drivers and such so you could reach those devices from the DOS boot.
