Unless you are using Inline assembler or someother third party product like 
Async Professional (Turbopower); I don't know how you are doing serial 
communications in D2.  Unless you are moving to NT as well, I would think 
whatever you are doing in D2 should work in D3.  I would need more specific 
information on just what exactly it is you are doing in D2.
