Just took delivery of a new system myself. Started setting it up yesterday.
It saw the old machine with little trouble, but for some reason has yet to
see the Internet. Not a priority, other than for registering software and
downloading the TV schedule for the ATi DV board. This beast will be mostly
dedicated to image processing and 3-D for the time being. It has been
rendering an anim since last night - currently at frame 1285 with 515 frames
to go - just under a minute a frame. My Amiga heritage shows - I am doing it
in Imagine. However, it would probably be a day a frame on the Miggy!

The firmware Zip is just a tad over 700k, so I could e-mail it to you if you
wish. If you have a card reader, you can first format the card in the
camera, transfer it to the card reader and use the computer to create a
firmware folder on the card. Drop the executable into the folder and put the
card back in the camera. Flip the play switch and follow the directions on
the camera's monitor, IIRC. I have the explicit instructions somewhere.

larry!
