Bordick was second or third from the bottom of the league in OPS
(OBP+Slugging.) His only asset offensively is his ability to make
intentional outs (sacrifice bunts), which, while a good skill to have, is a
strategy that leads to fewer runs being scored and thus should only be used
in a few situations (tie game from the bottom of the eighth on, or when a
weak hitter is at the plate, or in a squeeze situation.)
