Speaking from outside the US... I'd observe that almost assuredly YOU have
the right to OWN a vehicle without licensing it... YOU likely have the
right to operate that vehicle on your OWN or a friends OWN private property
without benefit of a drivers licence...
HOWEVER... the highways you claim to be able to drive upon are PUBLIC...
and it is the usage of those PUBLIC highways that require the use of a
drivers licence, vehicle registration and adequate insurance...
So don't feel put upon... exercise your rights... but obey the common law.
For what it is worth... this control is prevalent in most countries...
A wise man once said "YOUR Civil rights end where MY Civil rights begin"...
That is what your governments have inflicted on you... the majority have
decided to licence the operation of almost all things DANGEROUS to the
PUBLIC... at least physically dangerous. They do seem to be careless about
letting LAWYERS run at large .
Freedom's privileges must be balanced by Freedom's responsibilities.
