I'm wanting to purchase a used scanner w/ unblocked 800 MHz cellular.
Not PRIMARILY for monitoring cell calls, but also because this may
be increasingly difficult or impossible after Congress votes in late
Jan. on the current bill.
    I've found a few companies which sell used Realistic scanners but
(other than Universal Radio) I'm not sure if they are reputable.
    There's a company in Nevada which ADVERTISES unblocked Pro
receivers (such as the Pro-43 ??).  I don't know if it's wise
to buy from a company I'm not familiar with.
    2)  There are still a couple of Canadian companies selling
AOR 8000's but I've heard U.S. customs can seize these.  If they
do your $600 bucks is basically down the tube.
    3) I know the Pro-2004 can be easily modified.  Any other
used models that can be?
