Poor starving child B.S.?  In my mind's eye, I see the children of 
illegal immigrants as innocents - having to follow their parents and not 
capapble of having made the decision to come here on their own.  I see 
little sense in watching them starve or eat garbage from the gutters.  
Better, as I see it, to educate them and feed them.  Certainly, if we 
locate the family, we should send them back to their native country, but 
in the meantime?
And I don't see the need to write anyone - I'm not the one who made the 
claim and needs to defend it.
I think the issues are simply more complex than you give them credit 
for.  Were it only that everything could be reduced to black or white.
