I had a premonition someone might say that  :-)  When I started, I didn't 
know much about being a point.  My boss at the time offered an ESC-based 
setup because that's what he was used to and could support.  He used 
GoldED, so had encouraged the rest of us to use it too.  After a while, I 
suddenly realised that I'd passed the registration time limit, so 
registered, and didn't bother with anything else for quite a while.

I see several people already suggested you fire up a compiler, now the 
source code is available  :-)
