No, in fact there are no meetings here yet, though I've thought about
starting one. It's very strong on the West Coast and is getting stronger
in the Northeast, but is very spotty elsewhere. It grew out of a need
felt by AA and NA members whose primary drug was pot; in AA they were
generally off topic, and in NA they were sometimes dismissed as
lightweights who didn't have a "real" addiction, when in
fact they were genuinely distraught over what pot was doing to their
lives.  Since I'm more likely to get *nostalgic* about pot than
booze (despite the fact I'm definitely an alcoholic and do need AA),
I can relate, so I got some literature from them and began talking to
folks on their hotline and working the MA program solo, and I do
consider myself a member. If anybody's interested, I'll post their
national number.
