As Wanda Guin was saying to Wendy Apgar:
WG> I recieved your package yesterday. Thank you so much for it!
WG> Gertrude at church will love the cancelled stamps. And I love the
WG> buttons and earrings! Alas, I can't wear pierced earrings anymore. :(
WG> Shall I send them back to you? Or, I might can make them into
WG> clip-ons, as I have some of the clip-on things I could hot-glue them
WG> to.
Go ahead and keep them. If you can't make them into
clip ons you have my permission to pass them along. Next
time I'll know to make clip-ons for you if I do anything.
I'm glad you liked the buttons. I had gone through my
button collection again and had pulled out more buttons
that were in my collection in order to narrow it down
again as to the type of buttons that I collect.
And the card was so sweet! When I make cards, they don't look
WG> near as good as what you do! You are so professional looking. Might I
WG> be able to buy pack of all-occasion cards from you? Say about 25 or
WG> however you divide them up? My great-aunt loves to send out cards, and
WG> they would be so cute to give to her.
You will get better at it over time. I've been doing it
for 10 years or so. What I find is amusing is that in the
couple of years I have been mailing occasional cards to
a friend of mine here locally she says there has never
been a repeat. Don't know how I managed that. :-)
Yes, you may buy cards from me. You can either let me
know what kinds of cards you want via here or I can
go ahead and make copies of the "catalog" of sorts that
I have of all my rubber stamps and send them to you and
then you can order exactly what you want. My dad can
make the copies for free so I'll have a set to send to
you and Pat and the couple of other people that have
requested one. Hopefully I'll be able to get more orders
because every little bit really helps right now, especially
with the cost of meds. Let me know what you want to
do.
I'd be more than happy to make you some cards in whatever
number that you wish. :-) And I'll send along some
more postage stamps. I think I have more to mail you
than the average person because of the newsletter mail
as well as my own and the stamps that friends of mine
and friends of my mother are saving for you.
I'm really glad you liked what I sent you. :-)
Without my cards I would go crazy! And a card order
would mean that I can make more cards, unless I
still have some made up. I have a friend who is
having me mail her anniversary and birthday cards,
beginning in September, for the next year. Because
she cuts my bangs and colors my hair for me (I
buy the color) we agreed to barter 1/2 the cards
(she needs a total of 74) and she provide the postage
stamps for the bartered ones, and then she'll pay
me for the other 1/2. Don't know when that will
be as I'll let her pay me a little at a time. In
fact I asked her to get me 100 .32 stamps instead
of the cash for part of it. It is simply too hard
for me to get to the post office any more and I don't
want to have to pay the extra charge that the Letter
Box charges.
Take care of yourself.
