hehehe. USA exists too. Lots of lovely things to see and do. A bit
harder if ¨you do not speak english or spanish (the 2 most common there).
Most USA folks ¨are mono-lingual due to lack of exposure to more although
it's a rare person ¨who hasnt at least treied to take 1 or 2 years of
'something else' in the ¨grades 7-12.

Our little school here in Sasebo has Charlotte's first 'elective year' so
she ¨gets to chose some stuff. One of her 2 options for a language is
Japanese ¨(obviously) and Spanish. She's looking at an advanced reading
class instead ¨but we are thinking to have her take spanish instead. She
needs no help with ¨reading at all. Then again, we dont want her
overloaded. She's smart, but not ¨a total brain . She's a B+/A-
sort.

We will check and if the 'advanced reading' class is reading deeper books
than ¨the school normally requires (Chaucer isnt required at 7th grade, nor
is Faust ¨or such) then it would be a good option for her. Japanese as an
elective is ¨out as we will be leaving after that and she'll not have a
chance to develop it ¨nor get use of it.

Choices choices .
                                       xxcarol
