I had found something similar, but it doesn't say if you could use the unix
ping command with the parameter to include the rest in the data segment.
I'll have to poke around some more when I have time.
On a side note, I found a language called "darkbasic" which
allows you to write network software (basic is a language I'm fairly
familiar with) but it's really geared for writing games as the graphics
commands are greatly expanded while the network stuff is still fairly
limited. Does anyone here know of any other versions of basic that are
designed more for the network functionality?
