th>> When was the last time that anybody tried to invade the
th>> U.S.?
The world is a far smaller place these days than it was in the past you know.
You see it with our FIDONET connections....thesame is true for all other
aspects transportation and communications. We are but a missle away...Don't
forget the mess Japan inflicted on this great nation...
th>> Wouldn't th>> the world's greatest army be able to handle anything?
The worlds greatest military is mainly due to our technology
advancements....air power, missles, and nukes. If the battle was on our own
land, hand to hand...I don't think these woule be as benefitial to us...we
would have to attack them back at home...or stop them before they got here.
I don't think our army is the largest standing army in the world....
th>> After all, hasn't
th>> America saved Europe's ass in two world wars? (That is,
Don't forget...we were not there alone...our great advantage was that we were
not having our country (industries and war time production facilities) bombed
out while we were fighting. So, we were able to continue to have strong
supplies and recourses. We were able to supply our side with weapons and
whatever we needed...a huge advantage. When the war is on our soil...this migh
tnow work out as well for us.
th>> gets rammed down non-American's throats...continuously) As
th>> for threats
th>> from within, surely the great American public would rise
th>> up and crush
th>> any menace?!?
Sure.....given we have the armerments...but given that they are being taken
away one law at a time....means we are getting "de-toothed". You can only do
so much with rocks and sticks......and in a situation where people are trying
to "take over"...Ballots are only good for trying to inflict paper cuts on the
attackers.....it would not have worked with the British, and it would not work
today.
