This is what I thought QEdit did. I just don't understand why it got
through.. the int 21h hook portion of our program FORBIDS renaming (from,to),
deleting, opening for writing [all via FCBs or handles] of AUTOEXEC.BAT,
CONFIG.SYS and WIN.INI.
However, the problem appears to be solved - I went through the code and found
a small bug in our routine to prevent copying of EXE, COM and SYS files - and
now it's fixed, QEdit meeps and says "Cannot rename or delete original file".
Most promising.
