At some point they may want to confiscate (although going up against
known owners of battle rifles that will defeat most body armor is not
going to sit well with the troops, I would suspect...), but for the
moment there won't really *be* any enforcement, just as there really
has not been any significant enforcement for Roberti/Roos. 

Presuming you otherwise stay out of trouble, the state will never know
you have an "unregistered assault weapon". There are somewhere between
100,000 and 600,000 unregistered R/R "assault weapons" out there, and
the justice system never knows about them unless a home is raided for
some unrelated reason.

Admittedly it's not a *good* thing, but I would not expect any higher
percentage of compliance to the new law than there was with the old
law - somewhere under 10% presumably, although nobody really knows.
