AH> It's been an excellent year for striped bass (rockfish) in Liberty

DH> How do you go fishing for striped bass? Do you use minnows or
DH> spinnerbait? Can they be caught from a fishing pier?
Striped Bass can be caught with minnows, shad, perch, or artificials. They
are normally deep open water fish, so catching them from a pier is
difficult, although I have seen it happen. They throw about 50 yards out
into the lake with live bait. Usually it is around some point that the fish
might gather. It's tough, but it can be done.
