I imagine that would be considerably better than the games I tend to have 
against
my friend (ie he 0 ping server, me modem dialup 150-250 ping client :))
I play Quakeworld most of the time though, my isp has a server I get a 200 
ping
off, and in Quakeworld that is very fast indeed :)

Never really use other levels, I guess if I played more 2 player I would

the levels are bigger but for mulitplayer EP1 is good, a couple of the DM 
levels
are ok, parts of others eps are good/ok and a LOT of the time I play Team 
Fortress.

I went their a bit when it was a Doom page, haven't been since Quake came out
though.

I have the grappling hook patch, and have heard about the throwing axe, have
yet to get the patch though.
