SG> Hope you're feeling better by now. Life is pretty quiet but that

Yes, it would be hard to do much rsing on the train, with all those
stops! But Jeannelou has done some on Amtrak, I think.
SG> Recently I tried to do some cards that are folded in 3 and decorated

It sounds like it was lots of fun, did you like your finished ones?
I haven't tried anything that complex. If I wanted it to slant, it
probably wouldn't! :)
SG> What are your current projects?
I have some of the Delta Air Dry PermEnamel paints with glass cleaner,
and gloss sealer. I'm going to try my hand at painting some glass
votive candle holders for Christmas. I have brushes left over that
I never used, from when I helped a friend with her Cub Scouts. So I
have those to do. I need to do that outdoors really and it was the
hottest day of the month out today. I may wait a couple weeks on it.
Don't know how pungent-smelling that paint and sealer is but I don't
want to asphyxiate Tom! That would ruin his weekend...
I also have a quilting class coming up. It's a class in which we will
make a hand-pieced, hand-quilted wall hanging quilt from a block which
we will draft ourselves. It's 3 hours per night, 4 Tuesdays in Sept.
Ought to be good for me to get out and learn something! I've never
drafted my own block before.
I also am still working on the Teddy 9-patch quilt I started several
years ago -- I'm slow! And I have lots of other projects I can work
at, including some rubber stamping I want to do. I'm going to make
Christmas foldover cards and homemade stickers to seal them with,
for this coming Christmas. Some kindhearted soul paid $25.00 for me
to get into the Embossing Powder Co-op, and I'm so thrilled and also
really looking forward to getting those powders so I can get to work
on the cards. Meantime I think I am going to try making my own
verses and sayings for the insides of the cards, using my calligraphy
pen and some embossing ink, and the powders I already have. It's
going to take some practice, and with this almost-invisible liquid to
write with, I may not do as well as I want to, but I'm going to try!
Hope you are having a great time crafting!
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
